Lead regulatory affairs for Henkel’s home care business including air care; pesticides; cleaners, including disinfectants; and fabric care.
Perform raw material, formulation and packaging regulatory evaluations to confirm compliance with local, state and federal requirements in the US and Canada for new laundry and home care product development projects
Approve label copy and artwork to confirm compliance with local, state and federal requirements in the US and Canada for new laundry and home care products development projects
Confirm GHS hazard identification and classification is compliant for Henkel’s products sold in the US and Canada
Partner with other regulatory associates in continuing to develop and manage Henkel’s regulatory affairs function
Lead, develop and document programs and associated processes to comply with regulations and government and Non-Government Organization (NGO) certifications
Monitor, document and communicate the impact of proposed US and Canadian legislation on Henkel’s laundry and home care products
Monitor, document and communicate the impact of NGO and other influences on Henkel’s North American laundry and home care business
Participate in trade associations and/or alliances to support Henkel’s laundry and home care needs
Corroborate with management in interfacing with regulatory authorities
Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, physics, biology or engineering
Minimum of three years of regulatory experience with a company producing cleaning or pesticide products
Familiarity with key US federal and state regulations promulgated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as they relate to raw materials, formulations, packaging and labeling compliance of cleaning and/or pesticide products; familiarity with related Canadian federal and provincial regulations
