Job Description
Position Summary:

The Direct Marketing Manager has oversight of direct response programs selling cable services to movers on behalf of member cable companies. The primary responsibility is the facilitation of Multiple System Operator (MSO) participation in cooperative marketing programs, including: development of marketing strategies and creative recommendations, management of program operations, performance analysis, and financial management - in coordination with internal and external stakeholders,

The individual will be part of the CTAM Mover Marketing Team and participate in development and implementation of Co-op initiatives, project planning and budgeting as assigned. This role requires close coordination of cross-functional activity with MSOs, vendors and the CTAM Mover Team. The ideal candidate will have a significant direct marketing background, with cable experience desired, be results and metrics-driven, be experienced working in a matrix-driven organization, and have a demonstrable history of improving marketing ROI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bring a passion for creating “best-in-class” marketing programs that leverage data, insights and innovations within the industry • Be client-service driven, and strengthen relationships with assigned MSOs (Single Point of Contact), working individually and in a committee environment • Be a lead on an assigned marketing program for cross-MSO initiatives • Drive customer acquisition and retention with a continuous focus on improving ROI in marketing spend • Recommend testing scenarios for prospect contact strategies and calendars, as well as creative and offers • Leverage marketing insights and Co-op best practices to facilitate MSO creative submissions • Partner with Sr. Marketing Operations Manager on operational implementation within approved timeframes and budgets • Partner with Database Analyst on tracking, analysis and report design and preparation to measure program performance and financial performance; encourage MSOs to utilize the data to monitor and fine tune their participation. • Maximize forums for shared learnings and best practices for Co-op benefit • Participate in annual projections, budgets and re-forecasts in coordination with all Team Members • Support Mover Marketing Strategic Planning Initiatives

Other Duties

• Be an active participant in the CTAM Mover Team, support other MSO Co-op projects and budget management as assigned • Communicate and interact with co-workers, members, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner • Educate other CTAM departments about Mover initiatives and be an available resource supporting company growth

Requirements
• Expert understanding of direct marketing across media channels from marketing strategy through creative development into implementation and analysis • Heavy focus on direct mail and online operations and familiarity with database marketing technology • Strong analytic skills and an ability to synthesize and explain complex data, including financial analysis, modeling and testing matrices • Solid client service focus with an ability to influence decision makers within member MSOs and within CTAM • Strong project management skills, to handle multiple programs/campaigns/versions and guide MSO partners through the process • Able to pay strict attention to details and develop processes in a collaborative team environment • Exceptional communications skills (oral and written) and comfortable with designing and delivering presentations • Proven track record of success in a multi-channel marketing environment using traditional and interactive channels, combined with an ability to collaborate with a wide variety of participants in a co-op marketing environment • Skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint • Familiarity with information technology functions and products (standard reporting outputs); ability to learn and use other business software and reporting platforms used by CTAM, vendor partners and the cable & telecommunications industry • Knowledge of cable and telecommunications marketing, products and services desired • Active interest in the industry and in supporting the goals of the organization

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in designing and implementing direct response marketing campaigns

• Passionate about understanding consumer behavior and extracting actionable insights from data • Financially savvy with an ability to connect individual contributions to bottom line financial performance • Competitive, “play to win” attitude with a dedication to continuous improvement • Ability to build relationships and influence matrix resources • A willingness to accept and be held accountable for specific performance goals • Collaborative and enthusiastic team player with a positive mindset
