Inventory Planner: We are seeking an Inventory Planner to join our Merchandising/Inventory Control team who will manage our product orders & maintain inventory levels to support all of our businesses. They will use forecasted demand tools, prior history, and order flow/completion to anticipate and meet our customer demands and meet our corporate fill-rate goals. This person will also be responsible for managing the drop ship process for all GSC drop ship SKU’s across all product categories.
•Initiate and revise domestic purchase orders (PO’s) to meet forecasted demand and minimize product cost for all finished goods and components; accurately maintain all PO information
•Review inventory and open PO’s for potential overstock situations and take action; revising or canceling PO’s.
•In conjunction with the Business Analyst, identify and recommend product candidates for liquidation of overstocks. •Expedite PO’s as required to avoid back-orders by providing timely communication with the vendor and freight provider; keep track of demand and determine when to change the product status code to avoid unnecessary customer back-orders.
•Maintain the accuracy of the product database as it relates to product description, cost, price, and kit and product assembly components.
•Work with our freight management companies to ensure we have the best value for all products whether they are domestic or international shipments. Maintain freight and import duty (if applicable) percentage in OMS for every product
•Maintain the back-order report with information on current and future back-orders and provide timely updates to the Inventory Control Director and the Customer Service point person when vendors will not ship on time and the receipt in our warehouse or to the customer address will be later than the customer has been informed.
•Using the dropship application, educate new vendors on how to use this application and monitor vendor performance throughout the season, to ensure the dropship process is working properly and to ensure vendor compliance as detailed in the AGR vendor manual
