Looking for someone with 5-10 years experience in the Food & Beverage industry. Will report to plant manager. Helps to oversee production/maintenance/warehouse to ensure the facility is operating smoothly, quickly, efficiently and safely. daily duties:*assist plant manager with maintaining daily surveillance of overall operations and the performance of all facets of the facility*work closely with agricultural representative and production manager to co-ordinate production requirements*works closely with QA manager to make sure product produced is of high quality and meets company standards.*work closely with highly skilled maintenance personnel and maintenance supervisor to perform daily maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance*works closely with warehouse manager to make sure warehouse is operating effectively and inventory is properly managed and shipped.*establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards*maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.*incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel*provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor*provide technical support for facility equipment (automation systems, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical systems, fire production systems, sanitary design and maintenance)*provide technical support for exterior grounds and buildings maintenance*develop projects for maintenance and plant improvements. Capability to learn new processes and equipment. Read and interpret technical articless/letters and drawings.*responsible for plant operations in the absence of the plant manager*responsbile for auditors in the absence of the plant manager and/or Q. A. manager*Communicates effectively at the plant level and with corporate and other locations as necessary.
*B.S. in Engineering preferred*B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering a bonus*5-10 years experience in food/beverage facilities*experience in production and warehouse management*experience in managing 50-200 employees*supervisory and leadership training*knowledge of packaging, maintenance, quality assurance, sanitation, warehousing and production.*knowledge of GFSI (SQF), FDA, USDA and OSHA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.*experience desirable with electrical controls, automation and power distribution.* Good communication skills includie being proficient using ERP system and Microsolft Office
