The Sales & Marketing Associate will work closely with and support our sales and marketing teams in its primary and administrative duties. The position reports to the Marketing Director.
Marketing Associate Responsibilities Include:
Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
Supporting sales and marketing executives in organizing and executing various projects
Update spreadsheets, databases and presentations as needed
Assist in the organizing of promotional events and attend to them to facilitate their success
Assimilate, analyze and report syndicated data and organize information into charts, graphs and presentations
Work with PR agency on content for social media channels and digital campaigns
Create marketing literature (brochures, sell sheets, signs, flyers, etc) to support sales and augment the company’s presence in the market
Maintain content and organization of broker portal on the company websites
Create mock ups for sales presentations
Assist in the development and execution of new products
Collaborate with the marketing/sales team, internal teams, clients and partners on marketing strategy.
Help identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
Monitors and responds to consumer emails
Picks, records and ships everyday sample requests for brokers, sales personnel, PR and consumers
Supports efforts to ship new item samples, sample kits and /or seasonal items
Runs and interprets sales, inventory and cost reports for presentation to managers
Works with office manager to inventory and order office supplies
Conducts market/retail checks for company and competitive products
Supports co-packing efforts: analyzing inventories, running reports, interfacing with co-packers
Responsible for managing and growing selected brands and seasonal businesses
Proven experience in marketing – B2C preferred
Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach to internal and external customers
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems a plus
Working knowledge of key social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
Exquisite communication and people skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Digital marketing experience
High School diploma; BS in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage. Food or candy experience a PLUS.
Ability to travel
